La Lupita was recommended to us by a Mexican artist friend of ours. He’s a very good cook and so we had high hopes. We were certainly not disappointed. We were seated in the sunny courtyard which was colorful and relaxing. Our first course was soups. Both the Sopa de Lima and the Sopa de Camarones y Tortillas were generous and flavor packed. The taco course was next and samples five tacos, each completely different from the next. The tortillas varied from blue corn to flour to crispy cheese. The crispy cheese pastor is their biggest seller and it packs a wallop of flavors. The squash blossom stuffed with huitlacoche was probably the most subtle. The guero with tempura shrimp and curry crema was probably the most unusual. I all cases there were layers of flavors and textures and they were assembled in a chefly way. All excellent. At the end we decided the 4.5 oz of mezcal in a flight was a bit much for lunch so we settled on a single pour from the extensive mezcal menu. It is poured tableside into small half gourd and accompanied by spicy salt and orange slices. The service was attentive and helpful. All in all great food with heart felt hospitality in comfortable and colorful setting.

We were visiting Cabo San Lucas and decided to try some new places. We found this place (It was Tuesday, 2/24). They specialize in Tacos. They also offer alcoholic beverages, desserts, and some other items. On the night we arrived, we did not have reservations and were lucky. Note that reservations are suggested. Their tacos are of the street taco types and run between 6 - 12 per taco. Our server, Melina, took real good care of us. The supporting staff members do an outstanding job to make your dining experience a good one. We really enjoyed the live band that played the entire time of our visit. I hope that you decide to try them out and that your experience is as good as mine.

Great tacos! The food was delicious and the ambiance is really fun. I highly recommend this restaurant for some good authentic street tacos. The guacamole is exactly what we were hoping for. All of the waiters were very kind and helpful and spoke some English which was nice for us.

Everything about La Lupita was wonderful. The food and live music put it over the top. The ceviche was my absolute favorite. (We scarfed the tacos down before I remembered to take a pic) Perfect place to end the night! Or begin it because it’s super close to all the night life!

FANTASTIC food and drink! This would be a gold mine in any town that appreciates unique and quality food options. More than your typical taco place. Worth checking out, at least once :)

Amazing tacos. Amazing service. Maurice was the most knowledgeable and friendly bartender I have ever met. We got the vegetarian tacos made vegan. And the artisanal mezcal flight. Everything is off the charts. Authentic made with modern take on it. Coming back again and again.

Get the cheese crusted tacos, you won’t regret it! We have been to both locations and they are equally fantastic. The service is phenomenal and the food is even better! Love the hot sauces!

We were recommended this restaurant by our shuttle driver. It was conveniently located near our accommodations so we walked over. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for late afternoon. We were very impressed by the menu options, each choosing several different tacos. We most enjoyed the lamb and fish tacos, but all were delicious! A great start to our vacation.
